He walked towards her, I knew why he'd come
I watched her meet him, her body went numb
I didn't know what words he'd spoken
But I knew her world had just been broken
The ride was silent, no words were said
I tried to prepare for the journey ahead
It felt like a dream and I'd soon be awoken
But my world had just been broken
I said I'd call her, I wanted to be the one
But I was unsure how to say a life was done
She was so quiet, her grief was unspoken
But I knew her world had just been broken
It was hard to believe she was actually gone
The worst part was trying to move on
She had left us all a different token
But our worlds have now been broken
