The sky is black
The clouds are grey
The children cry in dismay
It's a sad day today for they can't go outside and play
The thunder roars and the lightning crashes
The wind screams and the rain smashes
The air is filled with bitter cold
The trees are bare and the winter sky is old
The sky is finally blue
The clouds have disappeared
The children look outside and are filled with cheer
It's now a happy day for the sun has appeared
The children can get out and play on this beautiful warm spring day
The air is still and the scent is sweet
The trees full of bright spring blossoms and leaves
Days like these make your heart skip a beat
