The ocean plays many roles,
It hides hidden treasure and lost valuable scrolls,
As waves crash down onto the sandy shallow floor,
Dolphins prance beyond the glistening shore,
The sun beaming down onto the ghostly whitewash,
Seagulls squawking to the sound of sparkling lemon squash,
The beautiful summer breeze hits my face,
Looking out to the dark blue sea… what a wonderful place,
I'm so lucky to be here without a doubt,
So delighted i could just scream and shout,
I lay my head against the heat of the rock,
Penguins lurking beneath the creaky dock,
The salty water smells waft across my nose,
The warmth of the sun grows and grows,
As the peaceful palm trees sway side to side,
This is a way better opportunity than staying inside.
