Excellence Award in the 'Word Zone 2016' competition
Falling skies pass my eyes,
Tears gone by wept and dry,
Our insecurities, down, buried deep,
No self-conscience we follow like sheep,
Lockets filled with colour life and diversity,
Standards of society individuals no longer free,
The keys thrown away a casualty of dismay,
Fake masks to stay personalities thrown away,
Backs are turned their whispers are heard,
Deceptions infecting the air true reality blurred,
Discovering the pollen's of deceit people start to think,
The verity revealed a revolution on the brink,
We can break the normality we can break the rules,
Taking back our rights not letting others take us for fools,
Why should we have to stand in the shadows of the classes?
Abolish it with a light so bright dulled only by glasses,
Stand true, stand high, stand out, stand proud,
Whether it be popular, peculiar, quiet or loud,
One’s self by the influence of others cannot be set into stone,
That choice should be made by you alone.
