There was this light, which I had always feared.
I would constantly figure out ways to avoid it.
Music was my refuge, my best friend, my only friend.
I grabbed onto the notes, and drifted to heaven.
There was a woman, who was the roots of my pain.
Please understand, and not slice my heart open.
All my emotional and physical scars have a story,
But, would anyone really listen?
Dear reader, what is family?
From what I have heard, and read.
Family is everlasting love, and support?
I long for the feeling that everyone describes.
I miss connections, I want to one day feel love.
With a little hope and passion,
It will be okay.
I believe it will.
