Time slips through the gaps of your fingers
Into the ocean of memories and regrets, it never lingers
It can leave you unaware of the things you have let escape
Can’t keep promises like a man in a cape
Life will forever be a race between you and the hour
Its disguise is slow but it’s quick to be devoured
Time can’t be bought, time can’t be saved
Only till the end will it be craved
Time is a figure, of the past, present and future
It will seldom pleas the needs of the unaware user
Time can be trapped in a few ticking hands
But how can we so easily lose our plans
To the nemesis of our race, stealthy and all
Time is an obstacle, a big brick wall
Time can dawdle, time can fly
So will we use it wisely, or let it go in the blink of an eye?
