It was a dark and stormy night,
When Bella my dog got a fright.
She jumped out of her skin,
And shivered down to her shin,
On a dark and stormy night.
The lightning flashed,
And the thunder clashed,
On that dark and stormy night.
And I wrote in my book,
As the windows shook,
On a dark and stormy night.
As I fell asleep,
I tried not to weep,
On that dark and stormy night.
My bed bumped, and my head humped,
Oh, what a dark and stormy night!
