When I close my eyes
What I see is no fault of mine
When I close my eyes
I see what I'm looking for; peace, hope, reassurance
And dream of genuine happiness and smiles that aren’t faked
When I close my eyes
I inhale the sweet scent of Autumn; the fragrance of beauty
I hear the gentle caressing leaves
Fluttering in the breeze like doves
When I close my eyes
The sun spreads its warmth over my cold heart
When I close my eyes
I believe in better days
When I close my eyes
I hope, I dream, I know everything will be okay
When I close my eyes, I open my mind.
