Mama, what is this world?
The world moving 360 degrees,
Yet we stay still.
Mama, what is this world?
Where people are being marginalised because of their beliefs,
Colour or simply for just being different.
Mama, what is this world?
Where one suicide note is written every hour,
So is it this place alone?
It takes many people to build a person’s life,
But only one to kill a person’s dreams,
Smash their hopes, throw away courage, strength and dignity.
Innovative technology has taken over,
Never content, still bored and demanding more,
Too young to understand,
Mama, what is this world?
