The light, it’s too bright.
The white does nothing but fright.
And there’s that hope that just might.
I feel peace, in spite
In spite of the bite, of the cold frigid wind that carries my kite.
The darkness is too black, only light and warmth it seems to lack.
I dare never give in
Into the black, allowing it to engulf me in its oblivion that always lacks,
I try to pull back, to fall back, but I shall never look back.
As all I will see is everlasting, always prevailing black.
Torn between the too bright light and the ever heartless darkness
I struggle to reach out for the hope, but I must put up a fight for the light that is my salvation.
As it’s too far into the darkness and camouflaged in the bright light.
It’s my life’s direction. My life’s deception,
But I accept that I must fall before I take flight.
