As we went through our last minute checks
A tear dropped from my eyes
And a huge smile spread across my face
It's 2025 and I'm venturing off to Mars.
I'm one of the many who have trialled
All now in space suits and all
I listen to the count-down over the speaker
It's 2025 and we are venturing off to Mars.
A shiver went through my spine
And my heart was thumping madly
I gave my last bits of love to my family
It's 2025 and I'm venturing off to Mars.
Five, four, three, two, one
I feel a violent rumble
Followed by a powerful thrust
It's 2025 and this is a one way ticket to Mars
