Sunday Picnic
It was Sunday, spent with family and friends
The day to relax, enjoy and unbend.
The humid and hot day, made us sweat like mad
But it didn’t matter; we were happy, not sad.
As we talked and chatted, about life and how it fly’s
Then out comes the food, hamburgers, salads and pies.
Out comes the Caesar salad, watermelon and chicken drumsticks,
The rhubarb pie, potatoes boiled and a bowl of Twix.
And as we ate and talked in glee
I realised this was one of my most favourite teas.
As the sun set and I rested on the hammock
I read a book and thought how dynamic.
How dynamic my family was, so amazing and unique
And how we all are so different
Italian, Japanese, American, German, British, African we all have a speak.
