I may teach you the value of love
But I can never show you the depths you may reach;
I may teach you how to write a song
But never can I give you such taste of a melody.
You may always wonder,
Why I show you, but never feel you;
But that is a key you possess
To your own soul.
I may teach you what joy is,
But I can never tell you to ponder upon it.
I may show you the value of belief,
But I can never let you depend on it.
You may see and hear as you grow,
But you always forget to feel.
I might tell you never to hold on;
But I can never tell you when to let go.
