Excellence Award in the 'Spread The Word 2017' competition

In a storm of voices, in a thunder of cheers,
Lights, camera, action!
I disappear.
The bright lights dim,
The loud noises die down.
As I stand on stage, my thoughts are unwound.
"Oh Romeo, oh Romeo, where art thou Romeo?"
A flourish of murmurs, a flutter of whispers,
Like the wings of a butterfly
Through crystalline glisters.
I raise my hands and my voice demands
A standing ovation,
An applause in perpetual revelation.
Soon, the show is ended and the curtains close.
As I take a bow,
Silently, my soul blossoms from a bud to a rose.
