As the sky darkened overhead the stars glowed white,
The moon rising high while the bats are in flight,
The sun is nowhere to be seen as it is past the time for light,
and bodies are snoring as they dream of the surrounding night.
The leaves are now falling with the colour orange and brown,
The stars dimmed as each leaf was laid down on the ground.
Slight goose bumps are forming on my golden skin,
My teeth are chattering right down to my chin.
Now snow is falling, the air is icy cold,
the water from the waterfall is solid and will not fall
The plants are curling up shielding themselves from the freeze,
their leaves shrinking and shriveling and falling off with ease.
Now Spring is here with flowers everywhere,
The wondrous smell is wafting through the open air.
But still the moon darkens overhead bidding you good night,
As the stars sing to you a soothing lullaby.
