Excellence Award in the 'Spread The Word 2017' competition
I am a beast named poverty.
I take children, the mothers, the infants you humans gave to me
Without a care of their family tree,
Nor the skills they guarantee
To you. Yet they're still given for free
Like worthless money
That has true meaning, a true life.
You humans are so greedy
Disregarding so many
People just like you and yet...
You still don't give them the help they need.
So before I devour people who haven't lived,
Who walked the earth like you did,
I have one last question for the stupid.
Have greed given you what you truly wanted?
