Take Me Back.

Take me back years ago.
When fairytales where sincere
and the only fear was the monster under my bed.
My mind was a sponge soaking all that I saw
and learning was my idea of fun
curiosity was everywhere and the tiniest things make me smile.
No worries, no stress; absolute freedom.
Take me back.
Make me blissfully unaware of reality.
Make present time fall slowly apart
and I’ll make sure the pieces never meet.
Just take me back.
So I can fall asleep in my parents lap
and feel like the safest kid in the world
Take me back…
I’ll have my time over.
