A single fallen leaf,
Lonely on the earth.
Many fell one by one,
Drifting away on the open air,
Whistling with the wind,
Except one lonely leaf.

This one didn't make a sound,
Not a scream, rustle nor cry,
This one fell with the Autumn breeze.
Now dry and hopeless,
It solemnly accepts its fate,
As a dry, lonely leaf,
Resting on the earth.
