Excellence Award in the 'Spread The Word 2017' competition

Adulthood, the ceremony of casting off our robes of Innocence,
To take up the sceptre of Knowledge,
The orb of Dependence,
The sword of Prejudice,
To don the crown of Experience.
My robe is cast,
My hands tremble to that which is presented to me
My crown sits there waiting for me.
Polished and gleaming;
But I am not ready.
