Excellence Award in the 'Spread The Word 2017' competition

There was a young woman, who wanted to be free,
And travel the world, to see all its beauty,
She wanted to snowboard and explore all she could,
She promised herself that she would, she would!
But then she fell ill, on one terrible day,
In hospital she was, before things took a sway,
She lost both her legs and the new ones hurt so,
And her dreams of travelling started to go,
But soon she realised, there were some good things here,
So she pursued her dream and conquered her fear,
She now owns gold medals, for snowboarding too,
And wants us to learn a lesson, so this next bit's for you:
Borders can be the end, but also a new start,
So pursue all your dreams, and follow your heart,
When things seem impossible, you can still achieve a feat,
Cause in negative there is positive and in bitter there is sweet.
