I'm no one today but I'll be someone tonight,
The pendulum swings from left to right,
I shall become a martyr then,
A tragic little story at the age of ten,
To sell more copies at five cents a story,
I'll become a shocking 14-line column so gory,
Yet for me and you there'll be nothing so sublime,
I'll sway like a child walking for the first time,
I'll drift with the wind in the eves,
Just stay a while and watch the fluttering of the leaves,
I promise they'll give you a word or three,
When the leeches descend upon you and me,
I hope one day soon, you'll join with me,
And you will see and you will be free.
