Waiting

ANZAC day in the Riverina

They were waiting to fight. They knew it was right. Throughout the night. They were waiting to fight.

They were waiting for the whistle to blow.
They were waiting to climb the trench.
They waiting if they will see their family again.
They were waiting to see if the will make it through.
They were waiting on the shore for the boat.
They were waiting to see what kind of boat it was.

They were waiting to see the smiles on the people faces. They were waiting to spend the rest of their lives with their family.
