The Beach

I feel the waves trickling over my feet,
And on the warm sand I take a seat.
I gaze at the vermilion sky above me,
Then at brown coconuts under a palm tree.
I look at boats silhouetted against the sky,
Why do I have to leave here?
Why, oh, why?
I smell the refreshing, salty sea air,
Then jump into the water without a care.
A huge, blue wave crashes over me
And I feel like swimming deep out to sea.
Out to a sea turtle I reach,
I just adore the beach!
