grey. bland. destitute.
populated only by the skeletons of authenticity
empty pedestals empty promises a void
trapped by unspoken words our value depreciates
we aspire to be untouched
no emotion. no fear.
one cannot simply exist
we are defined by the box: nothing and everything
we must not stand inside
you are incredulous: a specimen of the archaic
seen it. done it. go. away.
we must not stand outside
we exist to inhabit the norm
defined by an imaginary concept
we conform to something that isn’t real
a box.
