What is like to be a princess,
And rule a distant land?
What is it like to be a bird,
And perch on a person’s hand?

What is like to be a crab,
And burrow deep in the sand?
All these things…
I will never know.

What is it like to be an ice cube,
Freezing, chilly, and cold?
What is it like to be a hero,
Noble, strong, and bold?

What is like to be a great author,
And have my stories told?
Maybe one day in my life,
I will watch my dreams unfold.
