Machines of mass destruction,
Conscientious introspection,
The sacred force of nature,
Exploited without discretion,
And when we poisoned the air,
We stole our own breath away,
What our ancestors forbade,
We perpetrated recklessly,
Now all the world’s paint couldn’t imitate the vibrance,
Of Mother Earth’s glory before humanity’s violence,
With our consciences unclouded,
Still she suffered in subdued silence,
Landscape turned to skyscrape,
The Earth now wastes in defiance,
And only with nothing left to take,
Humanity has realized its gravest mistake.
