It’s like softly falling down a cascade of red velvet
Gently caressing you, somehow protecting you
But then the waterfall runs out and
It hits you, as you plunge into the depths
Immersing into a sea of love and hurt,
Not knowing if you’re going to escape.
Every new wave brings more love, but more pain
Every crease in the velvet is a line of memories,
All submerging and mixing and reappearing
There’s glimmers, ones that draw you
With lingering hopefulness
But suddenly, you are sucked in deeper than ever
And the thoughts cloud around,
Sending you tumbling through
A whirlpool of emotions, viciously strong
And never ending
