Excellence Award in the 'Spread The Word 2017' competition

Grey clouds surround my head,
Sounds of laughter come my way,
But it doesn’t get heard by me.
Birds chirping,
children giggling,
people smiling,
But not around me.
People happy, glowing bright,
But that’s not me.
The sun shines down on all the world,
But not on me.
But now I am free.
Free to look down on the world,
Free from all the darkness,
Free from depression.
