I am galloping away
Because nothing is okay,
No one is safe anymore,
All everyone cares about is war.
Even as I am getting further,
All I can hear are the sounds of murder.
My only wish is for all of it to stop
So that I can go back to Albert and drink out of my trough,
I can almost hear him in my head,
‘You old silly’, that’s what he always said.
Now there is a surging pain in my heart
Because I know he was my truest owner and we shouldn’t be apart,
We will find each other, I think, we will meet,
And that tiny wisp of hope
Is all that keeps me from sinking to my feet.
