Finalist in the 'Spread The Word 2017' competition
I see the white fellow coming near
On the horizon, their boats appear
Friend or foe, who knows?
We are preparing our arrows
And I am filled with fear
Our land and customs are not our own
The wind of change must have blown
Sickness is everywhere, this is the case
And in this capacious space it’s time to face
New rules to follow, Governor Arthur Phillips are now on the throne.
Please Eora children here today
Can you here my heart from a time far away
Keep our language alive
Let our dream-time stories thrive
Two different cultures interwove at Botany Bay.
