Her Eternal Agony

The lesions, the agony, and all the tears
That have been shed throughout these years,
Past calamities remain reticent, left to the dark,
Veiled, spurned, thoughts bequeath their mark.
Desiccate throat, bloodshot eyes…
Do you know the reason why she cries?
Forsaken, she tries to suppress her fear,
Praying that someone would find her here.
Trapped, daunted, besieged by pain,
Convinced by her past; in life she deserved no gain.
Memories asphyxiate her. She howls for help;
“Please! Make it go away!?” she yelps.
But, the pills and the blade, never made it go away,
So her grief, it seems, is here to stay.
