You are our escape from the mess humankind has created,
The flicker of light hidden behind the clouds of distress.
We had needed,
yet strayed away from you when you offered in the past.
People used to catch a glimpse of you from time to time,
But you have disappeared, when we need you most.
You are like a daisy in the wintertime.
Why can’t you stay longer? Why can’t you linger like fear?
Is it because we had ignored you in the past?
You have changed lives before, you have reunited the lost,
And you have caught those in time before they leapt.
All while keeping an open eye on the rest of us.
If you remain distant,
One day I will search the highest mountains,
The deepest oceans, and the deadliest rainforests,
Because we need you to return back to this planet.
