The Girl With The Smile And The Dull Eyes

This girl is what you’ve all created
For that, you should bow in shame
What you titled the girl and also have rated
Now it’s clear, you are all to blame
Behind the smiles and glowing eyes
Is a human in great agony
She stated she’s fine, didn’t you know that’s a lie?
As she dreaded each day anxiously
Her genuine smile was a heavy gloom
Her eyes full of hope was dull and dim
Only one source of light shone bright- the moon
And near the end, she hung off the very rim
Do you know where she is now?
Do you know what she’s done?
The chair pushed itself down
Thinking she had nowhere else to run.
