When I See Him Again

My dad the soldier, brave and wise
My mum the cook, her food to die
My brother the player, ready to run
But when will I see them ever again
One is always out early and coming back late,
The other never looking away from her potato bake,
And the other, when I see him again,
Will greet me with outstretched arms forever and then.
