On July 1903 a prestigious group was formed, the Australian Army Nursing Service for all nurses in war,
The silent night ends and the 4 August 1914 comes and silence spreads beneath our feet for 3,000 Australian hearts beat, within the small tentage that surrounds are mere fears
The wind blows by one bullet flies the tension builds up,the squeals of cries are followed by silence,
We rush to help to save the lives of our returning soldiers both brave and proud , because nurses in war are life savers and so much more
Hearing the sirens scream and snapping out of a peaceful dream, the sound of running to never stop,
The trickling amount of rain drops as we delay no more for there are lives to save, because nurses in war are life savers and so much more
11 November 1918 is here a day we never anticipated a life changing time,
The democracy for people our land rights,
But for all we know it was never the end for all those nurses in war who were life savers and so much more,
Because they never stopped what they have chosen for nurses in war are not only life savers and so much more,
They're people in the war who will never be forgotten, for without them there would be no soldiers to bring this unimaginable day,
As we say on more time, nurses in war are life savers and so much more
