With one glance, he was smitten,
Utterly and hopelessly, in love.
This angel had bewitched him,
Heart, body and soul.
Her beauty took his breath away,
Her gaze unlocked his heart.
But with the force of love, also came,
A fear, such as he had never felt before.
What if I'm not worthy, of such a precious jewel?
What if i fail, and end up a blundering fool?
Yet amidst the dread, rose a feeling stronger,
A desire to protect this girl, who would be his, forever.
Nothing shall ever hurt her, as long as I'm around,
She will be mine, until the stars forget to shine.
Her voice anchored him back to reality, and beckoned him closer,
And that was when the doctor said, 'Sir, here is your daughter.'
