I emerge, I develop, out I arise,
I'm motionless, immovable, so I reside.
I watch the men as I stand tall, through the night I remain.
I liked the men, I admit I admired them,
That concluded when they started cutting through our stems.
They had power, oh trouble it had to bring...
Oh how we stood tall, oh how we towered over the others,
Yet we never once thought of overpowering one another.
The times changed, they're no longer kind, now selfish they are,
Soon the almighty forests were reduced to rubble,
Their remains still sit, watching for more trouble...
Fewer trees in the word stand today, some thinking they’re safe,
I thought that too... until they too began taking my woods away.
