The roses that were once red,
Are faded now
Their beautiful colour has fled
Is this what we will allow?
The sky no longer bright blue
But has turned murky grey
There is no longer any truth
In the words that we say
We've forgotten our values,
And the things that matter most
Forgotten how to be humble
But learnt how to boast
What are we becoming
Is this what we want to be?
Can 100 dollar bills buy you everything?
There is a door to open but we are throwing away the key.
