A silvery moon shines upon, dull crystal grey sea,
A secret floats through misty air, locked without a key.
Waves distantly crash against, piercing, shadowy rocks,
A pitter patter of rain falls down, night cunning as a fox.
The howl of the night, silence, restlessness and rush,
Continues as sleep and dreams pursue their soothing hush.
The melancholy stars above spread wonder in the night,
Then dawn arrives, sky fading as a flock of birds take flight.
Light breaks upon pale horizon, spreading spirit hope and wonder,
Clouds melt away to reveal ombré sky, emerging from its slumber.
