In the end, there is the void
and through it comes chanting and incantations
that tell a tale as old as time; if only you would listen
The void forgets not what has slipped your mind - do not fear
This life is yours
and as the truths of an age spill here in the hospital room, be calm
In these final hours I will be your company
Sharing memories you have lost
with those who are not here
Now comes a sleep plagued not be the horrors of the unknown
but by the warm familiarity of the void
