Raging Waters

Like a blanket, it stretches out beyond
A great mass of swirling dark salt water
After lightning the thunder will respond
Beware all, because the sea will slaughter

The once great sun defeated by the dark
The joy of a sunny day, all long gone
The ocean, in its tantrums, leaves its mark
For days, there's no rest as it rages on

The wind howling in protest at the seas
Grasping and throwing everything in sight
Great waves come rolling in the size of trees
The ocean is showing off its great might

However, all storms, even biggest, end
And give way to the warm sun, my good friend
