He tried to push me out of the way as a loud sound rippled through the air but it was too late. The bullet pierced my skin before I could scream. I fall to the ground and let out a little 'oomph' as I land. I stare up into the sky as it starts raining.
I hear another bullet get shot and a body fall next to mine. As I turn my head I nearly cry when I see who it is. He lays there next to me, life less and pale, as blood pours from his chest.
It's in this moment I realised. With my last breath I whisper to the lifeless body next to me...
"I love you...Xavier"
