My new home is my hospital bed
Since being here almost every book I’ve read
Reminds me of what I cannot do,
From eating ice-cream to playing with you.
I forget about my pain and fear when Captain Starlight’s near.
Every day I wait to hear
Her footsteps and laughter appear,
She takes me away from these four walls
To fairies, princesses and sometimes trolls.
