The rain is coming here
And now it’s way too near.
The lightning is very bright,
And it sounds like the thunder is in a fight.
Everything’s now wet
So it looks like the rain won the bet.
I need to keep warm,
And not worry about the storm.
I can hear the thunder from far away
It reminds me not to go out and play.
I’m being as safe as I can be,
But I feel like the lightning is chasing me.
Now that the rain is gone and we can see the sun,
It really is time for some fun!
I give my mum and dad cuddles,
And now I’m off to jump in puddles!
