I Love Unicorns

I Love Unicorns
One sunny evening a little girl was walking home from a huge day at school. When she was walking home she was thinking about something she always wanted to do. Something magical, something special. And guess what she was thinking about… it was meeting a unicorn. When she got home, her mum asked “how was your day”. I said “HUGE! How was your day”. “Enormous day at work” Mum replied. “What do you want for tea?” Mum asked. “Pizza! Pizza!” I shouted. “Pizza is my favourite food” I declared to Mum. Mum told me “okay, okay calm down”. When I had finished I had delicious dessert. “Okay, I am ready for bed now”. “Goodnight” said Mum, “don’t let the bed bugs bite”. I giggle and say “I won’t, goodnight”. In the morning I get ready for another day at school. I have to tell you though, it’s SOOOO hot today. As I leave for school I start to think about unicorns again. But as I get to the love heart tree, I see a trail I have never seen before. I think to myself, “should I go up the weird trail? Or should I keep going to school?” I say to myself “I should NOT be doing thing, but I can’t resist”. When I am travelling through the trail, I wonder where it could take me. When I get to the end I see something mysterious. An unknown portal. It’s rainbow with glitter. I start walking towards and I get closer and closer. Poof! I disappear into the portal. Suddenly… I appear in a world that looks like our world but it feels magical and special. I see a beautiful rainbow and a glistening waterfall running down the centre of the rainbow. But suddenly I hear a strange sound… I feel scared so I check behind the flower bush but there was nothing there. I checked up high in trees but still there is nothing there. But when I checked behind the rainbow… I see a UNICORN! I screamed with joy! The rainbow unicorn jumped up and down. I suddenly remembered I have a lead, I shout out to the unicorn “come with me, come back to my house”. As we are walking home together my friends to say to me “what is THAT?” I say “nothing” in a secretive voice. All of a sudden the unicorn bends its front legs and invites me to hop on its back. I hold its gorgeous rainbow mane and we trot off home together. Kelsey Hill
