"Please...don't let go" I whimper as my legs slowly disappear from beneath. We have been friends for so long, all the memories of us together will be gone.

Melanie shook her head and said "No!" as a single tear slowly ran down her face. I knew this would happen..one day I would start to disappear as Melanie grew older. But I didn't think it would come this fast. Here I am watching myself disappear from Melanie's life. half of my body already gone. Melanie and I now both in tears, hugging each other so tight hoping it will prevent me from vanishing. Somehow we both know it won't work. Slowly I'm disappearing, only my head left. "I love you" I whisper and then I vanished in front of her very eyes.

She'll miss me, but there's nothing I can do about it. Everyone grows up.
