I don't like beans, beans aren't for me
But by all means I don't have a problem with beans
I like peas, peas are pretty neat
Small round and green and deliciously sweet.
And in this free land I am free to eat peas
I can eat which ever peas I want, whichever ones I please.
Now some people like beans and that's not a bad thing
It's just the way they are, it's beans they like eating.
And like lovers of peas they want to eat their greens
but currently in Australia they're not allowed this kind of protein.
For the government does not see fit
to bestow eating privileges on bean lovers, they're not even allowed a titbit.
So you see my friends, some people like peas
and some people like beans for who are we to dictate their greens.
So we must band together lovers of all legumes
and approve the eating of beans in our great Australian lunchroom.
