Trudging down the gravel path
One thousand eyes observing
A tale of loss and blood soaked hills
Something that none was deserving
The precious souls sent to fight
Their hope and valour blinding
To fight to death for their future
The guns they kept on grinding
Why do they keep fighting so?
Women and children are screaming
"We claim to fight for the future"
But should the blood be seeping
They call this politics, a clever lie
Masking the actual truth
The dead stay dead, the landscape broken
The scarred, broken youth
