Oh What A Flurry!

Whilst adding honey to my smoothie,
I spied the time luckily,
For it was eight o three!
Oh help me, school was at eight thirty-three!
I dashed to the car most quickly,
And sped off with the same rapidity,
Oh no, I had forgotten my smoothie!
Back I fled hurriedly,
For my tummy was grumbling that it was hungry!
I glugged it down frantically,
I saw no time left, oh dear me, I need to flee,
The time now was eight twenty-three!
I showed up at school at eight thirty exactly,
Then I realised it was January,
Not a school month for daft old me!
