Isn’t it a magnificent thing when humanity believes
It’s acceptable to destroy the land that provides for them.
Earth is the only planet that lets us breath, eat and roam free,
A one in a billion chance only for you and me.
Somehow, someway we lost our care for the world,
When we see her tides of pollution come in on our shores,
And wash away the sands of change and time itself.
Icebergs are melting, sea levels are rising, yet we still deny,
Animals are dying, rainforests are declining, we do not even try
To save our future and make a stance against climate change.
Nature is in need but we don’t heed its cry for help, it yelps,
Her silent seas and whispering winds cry louder than ever before,
However, there’s time to repair her wounds that we have dealt,
The hymning of our sins and incessant excuse making spur us to
Action as she cannot sustain this unnecessary torture anymore.
But by not thinking, or discussing we do the most harm of all.
